so i think i figured out what nick meant on the chrous where he talks about "the rose garden.." of course i think i firgured it out AFTER the video is done rendering xP oh well.
"In the rose garden. Where the rain is falling. And the thorns are sharp in, the rose garden."
here's my take:
i think nick is using the "Rose Garden" as a metaphor to hollywood. where on the outside it looks beautiful and what everyone wants, just like a beautiful rose garden but on the inside it's full of thorns&hatred. The rain helps grow the rose garden and bring it even more to life, just like how hollywood is fueled by tears by the people who get cut open by gossip & scandals.
